Senior IT Support Technician

As our Senior IT Support Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining internal and external computing environments and assisting in further development of our managed services.

You will keep up-to-date with new standards and evolving applications and work closely with other technicians to ensure that we exceed our customers’ expectations.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide managed services support including patching, asset management & licensing
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 end-user support for servers and desktop operating systems
• Manage networks & VPNs using routers and switches
• Manage and maintain internal and client server environments
• Manage and complete service requests and service tickets
• Provide advanced technical recommendations for clients when acquiring new business
• Install and support LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet and intranet systems
• Maintain certifications and participate in training sessions, forums and seminars
• Assist in developing disaster recovery, security plans and SLA agreements
• Assist in developing best practices and cloud solution plans

• Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science
• Experience in IT service environment, preferably in business solutions
• Current IT certifications, such as Microsoft MCSA, or MCSE
• Experience with managing Windows Servers and Active Directory
• Advanced understanding of operating systems and business applications
• Proficient in network performance, LAN knowledge and network design
• Ability to work independently, as well as, within a team
• Experience with Veeam backup & Veeam Cloud Connect or equivalent
• Knowledge of industry best practices regarding information security
• Experience with configuring, deployment and support of Microsoft Azure and Office 365
• Experience in architecting and creating cloud infrastructure
• Experience with SQL Servers and deploying virtualized solutions (HyperV)
